Aeromagnetic Survey of East and North-East Greenland 1993–1996 (AWI-AEROMAG)
The dataset contains aeromagnetic measurements acquired during 1993–1996 in East and North-East Greenland as part of the AWI-AEROMAG project conducted by the Alfred Wegener Institute (AWI). The measurements represent regional airborne magnetometry and include total magnetic field intensity corrected for diurnal variations and the main geomagnetic field. The survey was carried out to support geological mapping and tectonic analysis of eastern Greenland. The dataset constitutes an important geophysical reference for studies of crystalline basement rocks, sedimentary basins and structural features in the region.

The dataset is based on airborne magnetic measurements acquired by the Alfred Wegener Institute (AWI) during 1993–1996. Data were collected using an aircraft-mounted magnetometer and recorded as total magnetic field intensity. Following acquisition, the measurements were corrected for diurnal variations and the International Geomagnetic Reference Field (IGRF). Data processing and methodological details are described in Schlindwein (1998, PhD thesis) and Schlindwein & Meyer (1999). GEUS distributes the dataset in digital form based on the released and documented data version.
