Datasættet indeholder geografiske polygoner, der repræsenterer de områder i Grønland, som behandles i GEUS’ publikationer og i DODEX-rapportdatabasen. For hver publikation er der tilknyttet metadataoplysninger, herunder titel, forfattere, udgivelsesår og referenceinformation samt link til den digitale publikation, hvor denne er offentligt tilgængelig. Datasættet omfatter publikationstyper som GEUS Bulletin, Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland Bulletin, Bulletin Grønlands Geologiske Undersøgelse, rapportserier og kortbeskrivelser. Polygonerne er baseret på geografisk afgrænsning angivet i den enkelte publikation og fungerer som søge- og visualiseringsgrundlag.
The dataset contains geographic polygons representing the areas of Greenland covered in GEUS publications and in the DODEX report database. Each publication is associated with metadata including title, authors, year of publication and reference information as well as a link to the digital publication where publicly available. The dataset includes publication series such as GEUS Bulletin, Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland Bulletin, Bulletin Grønlands Geologiske Undersøgelse, report series and geological map descriptions. The polygons are based on the geographic extent described in each publication and serve as a spatial index for search and visualisation purposes.

Datasættet er opbygget som led i DODEX-projektet (Geoscience Documents and Data for Exploration in Greenland), som blev gennemført af GEUS i samarbejde med Bureau of Minerals and Petroleum (BMP) under Grønlands Selvstyre . Rapporter modtaget i henhold til Råstofloven registreres og indgår i en relationsdatabase, hvor metadata og geografiske referencer oprettes. For ældre rapporter er geografiske polygoner i første omgang baseret på licensområder og senere redigeret for at afspejle det faktiske undersøgelsesområde. Nye rapporter georefereres ved registreringstidspunktet. Polygonerne repræsenterer de områder, der behandles i den enkelte publikation, og er ikke udtryk for præcis kortlægning eller detaljeret rumlig afgrænsning.
The dataset was established as part of the DODEX project (Geoscience Documents and Data for Exploration in Greenland), carried out by GEUS in cooperation with the Bureau of Minerals and Petroleum (BMP) under the Government of Greenland . Reports submitted under the Mineral Resources Act are registered and incorporated into a relational database where metadata and geographic references are created. For older reports, geographic polygons were initially based on licence areas and later refined to better represent the actual area covered by the report. New reports are geo-referenced at the time of registration. The polygons represent the general area addressed in each publication and do not constitute precise cartographic boundaries.
