Airborne Electromagnetic Surveys in Greenland 1994–1998 (AEM)
The dataset comprises airborne electromagnetic (AEM) measurements acquired in Greenland during 1994–1998 as part of GEUS’ regional geophysical mapping programme. The surveys were conducted using helicopter- and fixed-wing electromagnetic systems and include electromagnetic response measurements as well as magnetic data. The dataset is used for regional mapping of subsurface electrical conductivity and for identifying structural and lithological variations relevant to geological interpretation and mineral exploration.

The dataset is based on airborne electromagnetic measurements carried out by GEUS during 1994–1998 as part of the national geophysical mapping programme. Data were acquired using helicopter- or fixed-wing AEM systems and recorded as time- or frequency-domain electromagnetic responses depending on the system applied, supplemented by magnetic measurements. Post-acquisition processing included correction for system drift, noise filtering and calibration. Methodological details and technical specifications are described in GEUS Report 2001/58.
